The African American Women Council for Community Outreach organization is a group of African-American women dedicated for the sole purpose of enhancing the lives of economically deprived school-aged children by providing them with the essentials needed to be academically successful and to enhance their self-esteem.

Each school year we target graduating high school seniors to participate in the application process for the Horace and Mae O. Mamou, Sr. Scholarship, which is an academic scholarship.

Over the past years, we’ve awarded this prestigious award to several students seeking higher education across many areas of academic focus!
