The African-American Women’s Council for Community Outreach (AAWCCO) is hosting it’s second wine tour FUN-raiser to support our program goals for education. Specifically, the proceeds from this wine tour will go toward our annual scholarship award to a Houston-area high school graduating senior. We have awarded scholarships to deserving high school students since 1997 including students at Madison High School (HISD), Worthing High School (HISD), Westchase High School (HISD), Hightower High School (FBISD), Willowridge High School (FBISD) and Stafford High School (Stafford MSD). Please join us on the Texas Hill Country Wine Tour as we continue to support the advancement of education pursuits by Houston-area students. This event is designed to be a purposeful FUNdraiser.

The 2018 Wine Tour includes visits at two (2) wineries with tastings including a mix of white and red varietals (you’ll get to take home at least 1 souvenir wine glass from a winery on the tour). Lunch is included in the wine tour fees and this year, we’re visiting Salt Lick BBQ — you’ll have a choice of a 2-meat plate or a BBQ sandwich and both options will include potato salad and cole slaw sides.

In 12 hours, we’ll travel comfortably on an air-conditioned charter bus to two of the finest wineries in Driftwood — Wimberley Valley Winery and Duchman Family Winery, ending our travels with hearty lunch at a world-renowned bar-b-que restaurant. The all-inclusive price is $125 (early bird pricing now through April 15th) and all you’ll need to bring is yourself (and more importantly, your wine tasting palate). This year’s wine tour fundraiser is sure to be as exciting as our inaugural wine tour in 2015.
